Abstract

The EAGLE analysis is a framework used to assess the performance of organizations, particularly in the public sector, by evaluating five key dimensions: Efficiency, Accountability, Governance, Leadership, and Engagement. This paper applies the EAGLE framework to selected public sector banks in India. The analysis is supported by econometric modelling to quantify the relationships between these dimensions and the financial performance of the banks. The econometric model is defined, solved, and the results are presented and it shows that increasing efficiency along with reducing the cost can lead to overall profitability of Indian public sector banks.
