Intelligent Risk Analytics and Dynamic Enterprise Workflow Automation Using Cloud-Native Architecture
Main Article Content
Abstract
Enterprises increasingly want risk analytics that run continuously rather than in monthly batches. They want risk scores that change as events arrive, and workflows that change their path when the score changes. Achieving this requires three capabilities working together. First, intelligent analytics must detect anomalies, score risk, and explain each score. Second, dynamic workflows must turn scores into routing, approvals, and escalation, and adjust as conditions change. Third, a cloud-native platform must run both reliably and at a cost that follows demand. This article proposes an architecture that combines them. Risk events flow through an event stream to containerized analytics microservices. An orchestration layer with an intelligent resource scheduler gives compute to those services, with priority for high-risk work. A configurable workflow engine routes each case by its risk tier. Process mining of workflow logs closes the loop by showing where workflows actually slow down or fail. Self-healing mechanisms keep the pipeline running when components fail. Using a design-oriented approach grounded in eleven studies published between 2009 and 2023, the article maps the evidence base, links cloud-native building blocks to risk analytics needs, and defines risk-tiered workflow paths with matching compute priorities. It illustrates the design with a hospital network that monitors patient-safety and billing-compliance risk. It argues that risk analytics becomes useful only when scoring, workflow, and infrastructure respond to the same risk signal.
