Cloud Enterprise Network Protection Using Adaptive Zero-Trust Architecture and AI-Driven Threat Intelligence
Main Article Content
Abstract
The increasing adoption of cloud computing, distributed applications, and remote enterprise operations has expanded organizational attack surfaces and introduced complex cybersecurity challenges. Traditional perimeter-based security models often struggle to protect dynamic cloud environments in which users, devices, applications, and services communicate across multiple infrastructure boundaries. This research proposes an integrated enterprise network protection framework combining Zero-Trust Architecture (ZTA) with artificial intelligence (AI)-based threat analysis to strengthen cloud security. The framework applies continuous identity verification, least-privilege access control, microsegmentation, behavioral monitoring, and adaptive policy enforcement to reduce unauthorized access and lateral movement. Machine learning algorithms analyze network traffic, authentication events, API requests, and system logs to identify anomalous behavior, classify potential threats, and prioritize security incidents. Explainable AI techniques provide contextual information supporting security analysts in interpreting model predictions and making informed response decisions. The proposed architecture integrates telemetry collection, threat detection, risk assessment, policy orchestration, and automated incident response within a scalable cloud-native environment. Its effectiveness should be evaluated using detection accuracy, precision, recall, false-positive rate, access decision latency, and resource overhead. Comparative experiments against conventional security monitoring and standalone Zero-Trust implementations can determine the contribution of AI-driven analytics. The framework aims to improve enterprise network visibility, strengthen access governance, accelerate threat identification, and support resilient cloud operations while maintaining operational continuity, accountability, and consistent security enforcement across hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructures.
